Planning your tiling works work
A floor or wall finish starts with the surface below it. Substrate preparation, setting-out, levels and transitions are reviewed before installation so the work is defined beyond the visible tile area.
Material type, tile size, laying pattern, cutting and edge details influence the scope. Marble and large-format finishes may require different preparation and handling from smaller ceramic tiles.
For kitchens and washrooms, discuss drainage, waterproofing interfaces and fixtures together. Any associated plumbing or waterproofing preparation must be identified in the quotation.
